NOOO!!! XO, it was clearly a devastating match to watch.
The match between Manchester United and Sunderland was up and i thought MU would have improved better after going through a so-so match with Wolfsburg. After the game, it proved to be worse than the last match they played.
Well, here's some recap of the game. The game started and Sunderland was striking into the defense zone of Manchester United, testing it over and over again. Soon enough, they found themselves a reward which is a goal. After scoring, they laid low a little and Manchester United regained a little possession from there. It was only a slightly equal possession between both team, still more to Sunderland though. From that nearly equal possession, Berbatov was lucky enough that his bicycle kick confused the goalkeeper and entered the net. Every Manchester United fan were rejoicing at that moment and Manchester United started to take control.
Even so, the control lasted for only a few minutes and the delighted face of each MU fan tearing apart. Again, Sunderland was pushing MU's defense. Fortunately, MU survived the numerous attempts made by Sunderland. Some were really potential goals. After that, the 2nd half started and this time, there were changes made in MU's team and it was slightly better with some equal challenges from both sides. Nevertheless, Sunderland again tamed MU's defense to make it a 2-1. Everyone would thought that MU would be more determined to score more. Yes, they were, but not as much as they normally do. So, it was still an equal match with chances from both sides..... till! the final 14 minutes (including injury time). From the 81st minute onwards, only they started to strike like they normally do and more chances were created. The situation improved but no luck was to be found. 86th minute, we could see the likes of Vidic and Evans supporting the offense by going to the defense line of Sunderland's. This time, Sunderland was really tested hard and their manager reduced their dream, which is just to clear the ball to MU's field. That was certainly 1 of the factor of the draw, they only wanted to stalemate the score. So, only a few times did the ball entered MU's ground and the striking went harder with 3 corners in a row, a throw-in and another corner to secure a goal for Manchester United. In the injury time, 9 MU players were inside the free kick zone, 9, we were really desperate for it. Nani running to the side to take the corners ASAP and everyone trying their best to position themselves. The final attempt was about to be cleared BUT Evra took it, kick it and it was deflected into the net when some were still lost after the corner kick.
I would say.... it wasn't a proud draw. I pity Sunderland though, actually they deserve a win rather than a draw. It was so lame, the game played by MU. It was as if they haven't eaten for a day or they are playing their 2 BPL games in a day. There were so so so so many uncompleted passes, most of them were so slow that Sunderland's player stole the ball from them. I wouldn't blame Rooney though, he was marked tightly. Eh... no, he did a weak shot and some pathetic passings. Nearly all the players were of the same way, failed in their passings. Nani too, his starting few corners were really out (of energy), when he did so many corners not too long ago, same as his free kick. Welbeck should have stepped up a gear... it's not like they're still playing a League Cup game where you go against opponent that MU can afford to fill up at least 7 2nd team players. Ben Foster... yup, he was playing like usual, so there's not really any problem with him. MU's defense was weaker this time without Rio Ferdinand. Probably Alex Ferguson is planning to make them regulars. Anyway, 1 of their biggest mistakes would be incomplete passes. So many balls were stolen yet, it was that way throughout the whole game except for the desperate moments. Totally out of form, let's hope it'll be better.
Most probably every MU fan is hoping for Liverpool to win tomorrow in order for MU to maintain at the top of the BPL. And that Richardson from Sunderland was a joker. He was fouled once with a fellow card for kicking away a ball which was supposed to be MU's free kick and he did it a second time in the 2nd half to gain himself a red card. Itchy legs eh, good for him, haha. Another bad record in his career. Hmmm, MU was clearly far from their best this time, not even close... wouldn't want to see that form ever again. If not, they can enter 2nd division d. Sad case, would have been sad too even if it was a win.
