Indonesia Open

it's about the Super Series 2009 of badminton that just passed yesterday. Actually i was expecting both our representatives in the singles and women doubles to lose but it was the other way round, lol. I was expecting them to lose because Chong Wei always lose at these stages whereby i suppose he's pressured to maintain his world no.1 ranking. Then, i was expecting our women doubles to lose because they always lose, the last title they got was..... kinda a long long time ago, last year if not mistaken. In fact, this is the 2nd title i've seen them won, i believe they won 3 career titles cuz i remember they won 2 before this Indonesia Open. So, it's funny to see them win. Btw, i was able to watch them for the 1st set against China yesterday. Although i was expecting them to lose, i rooted for them and they won the 1st set. I was watching it at a coffee shop and it was going to rain. So, we all went home before it rains heavily (anyway, i haven't seen a heavy rain in Taiping for a very very long time) but it didn't. Today, suddenly i read the newspaper and it was "omg, they won? singles straight set some more, not bad ah". Chong Wei was seriously very lucky that Chen Jin took out Lin Dan for him, if not, he was definitely in deep trouble as Lin Dan has an extremely well record against Chong Wei.

So, it's very lucky for him and if you ask everyone, most of them will say Lin Dan is better than Chong Wei, including me but as Malaysian, of cuz will support Chong Wei la in any competition, a more talented player than Wong Choon Han, last time he was national no.1 but now, his glory moments are fading due to his age. Now you can see Chong Wei in Singles 1 for Thomas Cup instead of Choon Han. Hafiz Hashim... dunno fly go where d after winning the All-England, his brother... also flopped d, some more make noise once in the BAM. Anyway, congrats to Wong Pei Tty, Chin Eei Hui and Lee Chong Wei for winning the tiles, especially the women doubles. 1st title for this year, also 1st title after getting the world no.1 rank and 3rd career titles i think. I still dunno how they get the world no.1 ranking though, it's funny when they always enter only quarters, sometimes semi and very rarely finals. Normally you'll see in the newspaper headline "Chong Wei, the sole survivor" or something like that, lol.
