the title meant special days such as Father's Day, Mother's Day, Teacher's Day (i wonder why there's no student's day), Earth Day/Hour and so on. It feels redundant to me the way those who declared those special days. I understand that that's the day where ppl appreciate their parents, teachers, etc etc but doesn't it sounds to you that these children only need to treat their parents or teachers specially well or giving them a treat on that very day? Why don't make it everyday? It's not like our parents live in the jail and only can spend time with them on that very day, lol. But it's a very good news to restaurants, hawker centres and all those places related to food to earn money on those days because normally children will give their parents a treat and normally too, the father and mother will pay it. So, it's like instead of being appreciated, you appreciate your own day. It questions me more why is there not grandfather's day, grandmother's day, ancestor's day, neighbour day and any other days that you can name.
I still remember last month, i think, was mother's day and knowing some of my friends are celebrating it, i asked as well "tonight got go anywhere?" and my mother asked back "where?" and i replied "mother's day ma" and she said "no where la". At night, my father was around and i think he just came back and realized there were many ppl eating out that night. While i was surfing the net as usual, there was this conversation about the special special days (dunno how they went into that conversation) and my father said "all these father's day, mother's day, all dunno for what 1. (translation from hokkien) all these days for those food stall ppl to earn money only, waste money eating out" and of cuz i agree with them, if not, i'll need to come out money to give them a treat rite? hahaha. If i give them a treat also, the money originates from them, so it's like they give a treat to themselves and me too. Pointless. The only point of these days are just to spend time together which we can do it every weekend (which i don't). Teacher's Day... for my school la, it's the day where we can actually skip school for 1 day and no need to study at all, yay.
I think I skipped Teacher's Day.. last month but I wasn't the only 1. My class, only 2 to 5 of us (32 of us) went to school. If 5Sc1 also like this d, what do you think about the rest? =) But the years before, i went la, dunno why also, maybe 4 years thought teacher got teach after celebration, so i went i think. Oh ya, some got go school for Teacher's Day also last month but after a few hours, they were in cybercafe, even more cool than me, man. At least i sleep only la. It shows us how "useful" is the CCTVs in our school, lol. A few more cases way more cekap to show how useless is the CCTVs in our school is, i have a friend called CK, he damn pro 1. SL once asked him to buy reload card for him, and he straight went out of school and after a few minutes, he was back with the reload card. Another 1 was he was asked to buy correction tape, same thing, he straight went out and was back with a correction tape after a few minutes. There were other cases also of him going in and out of the school to buy stuffs and it was still school hours. School hours man, fuh, dun play play. At least, he's alone, very hard to spot. Those chinese gang, once or twice i saw them walking back to school from somewhere during school hours, there were like more than 8 fellows there and they were just behind the school.
Anyway, it's good la that the security in my school is not tight. If i didn't remember wrong, there was once i forgot to bring my folio to school and that day was the deadline. Then, i go take my bike and cycle home, took it and went back to school. So, it's good la after all, no need to waste time let the teacher decide whether to let us go out or not, no need to trouble parents to get something that we forgot to bring to school and so on..
Yet, i still question why those special days last for only 1 day? Why not everyday? Why not making Earth Hour everyday? 1 hour of whole Malaysia turning off electric can already save alot, a lot a lot of electric, in a week, you'll get to save much more than a lot a lot alot, haha. (i forgot how much electric was saved)
Btw, today got nothing special, the only extraordinary thing was i played volleyball today. It was my 1st time after not playing it for weeks because of exam and preparations for exam. So, it was like fun playing with it again, after all, i've kinda retired from many other sports. Didn't touch my badminton and tennis racquets for months or years, ping pong bat for years and others. To be precise, i think volleyball is the only sport i've been playing for now. Unexpectedly, i played quite well today even after not touching those balls for weeks. Another unexpected thing was that TMGS started training with us again. As i remember, they last trained with us was... last year. And our coach joked that "i won't be surprised if next week suddenly got 25 players from SGI", haha. And there's only 12 of us today. It's good also la they train with us, cuz it's like some trainings like sprinting those kind, we train with them. So, it makes us train harder la, no boys want to lose to girls in physical activities rite? Cuz one of us lost to the girl while sprinting and kena kao kao from it, lol. "EW, how the hell you lose to girls?" To summarize it, i'll just say my digging improved, setting... improved, spiking... improved but sadly, my service drop standard d, swt. Last time can jump serve, now cannot d... haih plus the training was tiring, made it even harder to jump serve. Not to mention, i sesat today while going to the volleyball court and also while going out of the area, sesat man.... haha. Luckily use motorbike la, if cycle ah, gone case. Cuz the Aulong court nearby there damn a lot of simpang empat 1, dunno where to turn where also, "landmarks" also are just houses. So, it's like a labyrinth la, haha. And of cuz i manage to get out of it, if not, i won't be blogging now, lol.
