final day of being a prefect, the job is over now. It reminds me of the last 1 year being a prefect, which initially not to a full term prefect. And that's thanks to Ashley (ex-head prefect). Being under Chan Leong when i was a trainee, it looks cool especially when catching students with handphone which he did in front of my eyes. It's nice too to see the students begging to let them off but he didn't. After a few months under him and learning everything or at least most of the stuffs that i should know, he retired when the lower 6 last year was trained up. Then, we, the trainees became prefects and took care of the discipline problems. Discipline problem is definitely no.1 for SGI in the whole LMS according to Mr.N, so it's really a big challenge (although some just took the prefect post for the sake of the cert). Prefect was certainly not easy including being a trainee that time, we pay money and cash constantly flow out from our pocket, and always can be seen, giving lame excuses to avoid being fined for being late for duty or absent for the duty. My most basic reason was tyre punctured, brake system not working and have to fix it, bicycle lost and roughly everything to do with bicycle cuz that time, i cycled to everywhere (some of it were true though). But of cuz, it can't be used that often, only once in a while.
Then, after a while, i got used to it, i mean, able to abide the prefect rules and not being fined totally after that. Working solo was seriously nice cuz i really like to do things by myself, in terms of jobs like prefect duty. Fear certainly did exist when i was just a trainee cuz the form 5 were elder and those acting-gangsters shout a lot, scaring everyone. After a while, i got used to it and there was one Malay guy, i still remember very well, he always wear a ring during assembly time and i was the very one who always went to him and ask him to take it off till he got really angry and started threatening to bash me up which i believe it wont happen because i was told in a prefect meeting that we're protected, that kind of stuffs and it didn't happen. After the form 5 last year left, we were the ones being the form 5, to say the eldest, no.., cuz there're form 6 students. Even some form 6 students also i catch and yup, they have to follow the rules. Then, also remembered Chan Leong's last day of becoming a prefect, where a problem was raised when he just ask that student or delinquent to take off his bangle, he called his gang but the big boss was friend with Chan Leong, so it ended up as... nothing.
After happily duty alone for months, it was time for everyone to get a junior. My junior was Boo, so it makes thing simpler as he's also my scout junior, just that he talks a little too much. So, i taught him too roughly everything i think, including how to catch those with handphones, and he got his very first experience in a "nearly-fight" with the indian trouble-makers. Oh ya, to make things simpler, our school have groupings, the chinese gang, the indian gang and the malay gang which are composed of art students. In fact, they have some sort of partnership with each other but the malay gang are slightly out of it. So, Boo got involved with the Indian gang for the very 1st time and it was settled though. At least he got 1 only, that's much better than mine where i think i got... 6? Chinese gang 4 or 3 times, Indian gang once or twice and Malay gang... 0. But if quarreling, it'll be more than 50 times for the sum of the 3 gangs. Btw, the chinese gang is made up of 2 gangs, 1 is form 4 and 1 is form 5 but both can be grouped into 1 especially during recess time. Anyway, their favourite job is just to gather, auto making circles when got "special events", shouting and helping by pushing here and there.
After yesterday's problem, today there was another 1. But this time, it happened after recess time when the students were going up the staircase entering class. Anyway, let's rewind back a little. It was recess for prefects and i went for it. Then, i met the idiot i saw yesterday and he was walking with the Form 5 gang, he's part of the Form 4 chinese troublemaker. And were staring at me, and i just ignored them. Then, i went for duty at staircase D and it was so "fortunate" that those guys were also using staircase D to enter class. So, 3 of them did not tuck in their shirts. The 1st 1 (a form 5 chinese guy) was blocked by me, asking him to tuck in him shirt. The response was just pushing my hand away and continue walking. Then, i followed up, insisting him on tucking in his shirt and his friends back up, and asking for a fight. It was funny though thinking back about it as when he was asking for a fight, he was walking backwards and asking me to enter their class. After entering their class, they just walk to their places. Since there was a teacher there, i told the teacher what happened and the teacher ordered them to tuck in their clothes. What happened was they ignored the teacher and came in more prefects and some students while i was still insisting on 1 of them to tuck in their shirt.
Then, he still did not and came in 2 discipline teachers, En.Roslan and Mr.Tan and also Mr.Koay. Again, they were the very 1st to tell their part of the story, such fast reaction. I explained as well and and the teacher lectured them (yea man, that's the way) and in the middle, i hantam another 3 words "school rules la" and the teacher heard it and elaborated on it to them. 1 of them kinda lost his brain as he threatened me something to do with whacking me if i'm out of the school compound. As if i'll believe that, heard of it too many times. Since he threatened, Mr.Tan made a counter-attack for me by extra scolding and their stories very nice, they alter the truth and said i push them when it was just blocking them at the staircase, it's so obvious and I've another 3 prefects and my head deparment to prove it. So, I stood there happily (in the heart) listening how they were lectured. Of cuz i didn't show the happy expression, if not it'll cause more trouble, lol.
After a while, Mr.Tan said "you can go back to class d, i'll handle here". So, i did and went back to class which was.. very hot. Before entering my class, as usual, news spread super fast, in canteen, some were asking and also my neighbour class, Sc2 called me and asked for the story. And it's certainly funny for me when 1 of my friends said, "2 days in a row", hahaha. 2 days in a row, big troubles arose from just a tiny issue, tucking in shirt, i wonder how hard it is to tuck in shirt for them. Oh ya, i missed out 1 part. When at the corridor when i was insisting that guy to tuck in his shirt, that idiot who was totally angry with me yesterday became smart. He was trying to settle it off, how nice of him. Seriously, nice, not being sarcastic. But it went on la, and he wasn't involved throughout the whole thing, in fact he was trying to settle things up, that's good of him. For that, i defended him when the teacher were asking "who were the ones?" and i defended him by saying "all of them except this guy, he's totally ok" and even if he didn't try to settle things up but only not involved, i'll do same thing too. It's just truth. And through that, definitely i would say my problem between him and me was definitely buried. After entering class, everything went on as usual till the end of school. Guess i learned this from Chan Leong as well, making trouble on the last day being a prefect, hahahaha. So, that's all.
