Irony

Manchester United won their 2nd leg game against Bayern Munich in a heartbreaking fashion yet it was so ironic that MU fans all around the world was saddened and depressed for their victory. It was mainly because Bayern Munich won the quarter-finals in terms of an away goal. Putting on a superb and absolute dominance game against Bayern in the 1st half, it looks set that MU was definitely getting a place in the semis. Yet in the 2nd half, Bayern gradually increased their attacking depth and with Rafael out 5 minutes after the 2nd half started, MU's defense deteriorated badly and the chance was well taken by Bayern to score another goal, making it a 3-2 scoreline. With it being 3-2, MU was forced to attack more. It was inevitable that MU would be conceding goals sooner or later. It was all a matter of time based on how Bayern attacked. Rafael was certainly an important player for MU with the attacking assist style he played but due to his naivety, he was booked for the 2nd time making MU defense's line fading away.

Well, Bayern Munich certainly deserved their qualification for the semis since both teams knew the rule of the away goal very well and both teams had played strongly. Nothing can be changed now but we're still sad about their exit from the Champions League, of cuz i can't deny, millions or probably billions are happy about it (like how Mr.Oon once said, there's only 2 groups of ppl in this world, MU supporter or anti-MU supporter). That's how it is, if only we performed better in the 1st leg or if only our 2nd half was forced more on attack, definitely MU would have made the cut. Haih.......................................... So.............. I'll be sleeping unpeacefully then................................................
