Last week, after the final debate training, Kenny and me went to Webzone to dota until 9pm+. Then, we (the debaters) went to KTMB and saw ourselves late for the train. Some parents were grumbling while some were furious. The train went on without us. So, negotiation started to change the ticket time from 11pm to 1.30am. Late due to certain reasons which probably best not revealed, lol. Then, everyone (especially parents, in fact they're the only ones who were furious, haha) cooled down and finally, the teacher arrived, such bad impression, omg, throughout last year until this point. When arrive, din apologize but just say, "got 6 traffics, mau saya kena saman ka?" (something like that). Anyway, she wasn't the sole reason but can be said so, lol. 1.30am came and we set off to KL. 2nd mistake of the day, we stopped 1 station earlier, which is KL instead of Sentral KL. So, bought another ticket (luckily only RM1) to move on to Sentral KL. At there, had breakfast, decided to go to Midvalley, went to Midvalley, came back and went to IIUM. At there, we met up with the rest of the team and entered. As usual, greeted with tons of claps and registered, the announcement was blur which made us all wondering "wth is she talking wei? so blur". Everyone agreed and we went to our dorm, this time, it was very deep and dirty (guy's dorm). It was dusty actually, not really dirty but in 1 day, we cleaned the whole area with our clean feet cuz no broom ma. We did the extra mile though to clean the cupboards using wet toilet papers. At night, we went out with Mr.Koay for dinner and buying back some breads for the next morning. The others went for the Grand Dinner. When back at dorm with those guys, motivational talks began and lasted quite long i guess (it was done every night). BKS was my roommate. On that day, I think we talked about.... forget d but quite some topics la, lol.
The next day, we went to Kaed for breakfast and went to audi for roll call. Then, there was a mock debate. The only person who impressed me was the IIU's Whip, her rebuttals were splendid. Then, round 1 began and met an MRSM team, from Merbok i think. It was about.... sex education and we won easily but with a split decision of 2-1 (what the hell??). 2 adjudicator gave clear win while 1 gave a close lost. When ask for feedback, it was pretty... lame and his jokes were damn lame. Ignored and went for 2nd round, this time in room 9, against... Damansara Jaya (2 times National champs for Datuk Wira) about using convict labour for national projects. We won resoundingly and told Mr.Koay that he can proudly tell that to Miss Yoong, lol. At night, another motivational talk was given, this time by CL, the night before was by Lavin. Tonight, Boo also talked to me about some stuffs but damn long until i got sleepy.
2nd day there, we went to audi again, this time in room 1 against SDAR about athletes committing gross social indecencies. SGI won by a close margin i think and declare themselves gym leader (Pokemon version of debate, lol) and said they must defend this room. They did and in humour round, they were against Alam Shah. It was about swimming classes given to countries sinking. This time, they lost for being too serious in their case set-up besides having no positive matter. For us, we felt they were a whole lot funnier in rebuttals and they definitely crushed their case and points. At this point, normally the Opp should win cuz the Gov's proposal is crushed but they won cuz we were too serious in case set-up.... which i remember she said "in humour round, you must have some flaws in your mechanism" or sort of it. Rationally, who would allow a flawed mechanism to be proposed? So, it took some time to take on the lost. Even when we were waiting for the results, both teams thought SGI won but it was the other way round. So, Vignes said "damn, we failed to defend the gym". Round 5 began against RMC about sin tax on tabloid newspaper, the adj was STAR's coach. Step said this guy has some prob with SK and indirectly, us. So, we lost this debate but not cuz of him, it was the team's prob and we corrected it after the debate. 6 prelim rounds with a score of 3-2, it wasn't favourable for SGI and Convent (both also 3-2 at this point). Those guys were emo at there and we tried to cheer them up. Luckily, it was the last debate for that day and they had 1 night to reorganized. That night was utilized to clear doubts and... reorganized la basically. By midnight, everyone was fine and Boo talk a lot again, this time, I had some fun too instead of feeling sleepy making a prank sms, lol.
The following day, roll call again and debated the final round against.... (forgot d the name of the school) about full body scanner at airports for security. We won but it was pretty close, i felt. They were quite anxious after that. Then, a talk by a CEO fellow began which i didnt really listen to cuz from time to time, i slept and Vignes was playing his handphone that time, so observe a little here and there, lol. That time, everyone thought breaking was gonna be announced but were disappointed when asked to go for lunch. When back in audi, breaking teams were announced and SGI broke in 13th? while Convent didnt break. I expected both teams to break, so we were like "wth, Convent didnt break??". At that point, I was thinking how to console them (bet the others were thinking about it too). However, no idea came into frame and we focused on our team 1st to prepare them for the double octo since their debate was going to start soon. After that, talked a little to the girls and fortunately, they were ok by then. Probably it was the STAR's coach's fault (probably! not definitely) since he adj their 6th round and he gave RMC the win. Double-octo began, against Damansara Jaya again.... this time about not giving death penalty to anyone forever. SGI as gov won clearly i guess in room 13. In these rounds, the team was responding to it in top form, a do-or-die situation. Advancing to the next round which is the octos, we fought against Sri Puteri in room 13 again, at night. The criteria was exactly the same as how we lost last year to Sri Puteri in octos, at night, in the same room too. The only difference is that SGI team is totally different and we're the Opp this time. Generally, this guys are much better in Opp. This round, they debated about housewives and househusbands claiming fixed wage from spouses. We won with a close margin and that was definitely a sugary sweet revenge. Everyone was happy with it and not being overconfident, we did some talks again at night, this time with Lavin again or Swee Kheng? I think SK, lol. Oh ya, not TSK, is KSK. K, this time, i remember, Boo and me were talking about Pokemon and I was sleepy again and he was still talking on and on.....
Roll call again and we're up against Damansara Utama in quarters about parents with inheritable genetic diseases to have children. Here's the catch, there's 5 adjudicators. Azrul (STAR coach), Faiz (prep with DU in mock debate), Latif (chief adj), and 2 more fellows whom name i know not. For this debate, you can just say we're down by 2-0 before the debate started. Azrul who detest us obviously wouldn't like us to win especially after we beat Sri Puteri (a team he trained), Faiz who did the mock debate with Damansara Utama definitely had some liking for them or so, Latif was neutral and 1 of the guys i did not know the name of as i heard dislike us as well, so you could say down with 3-0, lol. At the end of the debate, everyone thought SGI won but it the result was in reverse as DU won it. In the audi, when it was announced, only DU clapped, /e5, the others were just as shocked as us with some teams coming trying to console us still believing we should have been the victors. It was split of 4-1 margin for them and the 1 point came from Latif, the chief adj. When the score was placed on the stage, we went to check and definitely the Azrul guy had some prob with us, the scores were disproportional totally. Vignes and Darmesh who were better had lower scores than the other 2, we all were like wtf, performance wise, definitely we were better. Anyway, since it was announced, nothing could be done. Biased as it can be, acceptance is what he shall learn from this tournament. All these while, I thought Datuk Wira was the only screwed up debate tournament (cuz they see speech delivery more than points) but with this, it's concluded this tournament is screwed up too until the day every adj is neutral. Probably they have some format we dunno of, so... dunno la but it's clear la there's some element of bias in it.
This year, the loss was more torturing as they should have won the debate but they lost it. Last year, at least we deserved the loss. After that, we went to some random room to play Murderer, lol. Pro killers were Vignes and Step, kill until left 1 only, lol. That day, i didnt get the murderer role once also, /e5, keep kena kill and kena blame only, haha. At night, we went to watch the grand finals which was DU and TM (boy's school). Everyone is SGI was thinking "It should be SGI standing there", lol.
For biased adj, Step was quite pro in detecting them cuz we thought they will be professional. In the round against Damansara Jaya which the double-octos, Danial (1 of the adj) was adjudicating out of us 3 of them. Step said he is quite close to the other team 1 (forget what he said but it came out true in the end). It was a close win that time. The other 2 adj were done but he was thinking much much longer in making the decision. (that time we were peeking from outside through the curtains undetected, wahahaha). Then, when settle d, he go discuss with the other 2 adjs. I was like "wth, i thought adjs aren't supposed to discuss at all" and he was trying to convince them on something. Luckily we won and when we check, he gave us the loss. Bastard fellow. Then, in quarters, it became more realistic la. When saw Star coach and Faiz, straight shake head and say "GG d". Pls la, be more professional la, wth, where can so unfair 1. At least when you know you got something to do with the team, straight tell to change adj la, this 1 still continue, bloody. Btw, Faiz was seen discussing happily with DU in finals before the prep time started ( it proves how close they were).
After the grand finals, top 10 speakers were awarded and Vignes was hoping for his name to be called all the time, lol. In the end, he said "nvm la, give them" and we were laughing there telling him as if he got choice to give them only, haha. At night, everyone was still unable to overcome the feeling of the unjustified loss and i was thinking if only the chief adj's decision overrides the other adj's, it would've been much better, lol. This time, KL and Step was KO-ed. The rest of us who were still awake decided to play them. KO-ed as in when you move their hands and legs, they wouldn't even feel anything or twitch their eyes. Step was lvl 1 cuz totally no response and kena kao kao. KL was lvl 2 cuz he more responsive, probably more sensitive kua but also kena kao kao, hahaha. Starting starting, i can still tahan when look at them. As it went on, their image became worse and I couldn't hold my laughter anymore, lol. Their privacy was violated to the max, probably below max la cuz we abandoned the plan to strip them naked, hahahaha. At about 2am, we went to sleep, Boo and me planned to get the rest at 3am. When we woke up at 3am, we abandoned the plan cuz too sleepy and woke up at 7am the next morning, rushed to the hall and went to Sentral KL and waited for more than 6 hours there for the train...............................
When reach home, i play computer kao kao 1st cuz damn long din touch d. Then, went to sleep until the next day go Sentral for 9 hours. I was still sleepy a little that time. When reach home, watch anime until sleep. Then, only really go sleep to wake up at 1am today. Play and blog until now cuz cant sleep d. It rained a little just now but stop d. Now, 1 cat making noise but luckily not that loud and shut up d. If noisy and cannot shut up, i sure hunt for it d like last time. Fuh, that time i still remember i really was planning to kill it d. The cats lucky they run fast oni, if not, they sure die d 1.
Anyway, probably we wont get over it la this year, the loss cuz definitely they deserve to win it totally. Despite all that, the journey was fun with jokes being made from the start till the very end, lol. At least, i'm now fine with the teacher. Before this, i dislike her like hell man especially when at the train. After reach, din apologize some more can talk like banging ppl oni, not me la but when hear such despicable thing happening, obviously will beh syok la. The best part for 18th of April was when i saw the newspaper. MU won the game, damn happy man that time. I got happier when i saw Chelsea lost, hahahaha, at least saw glitters of hope in the dark tunnel but i still bet the victors on Chelsea. If Chelsea lose some more ah, means they damn damn stupid d. This time, the tournament was interesting cuz St.Xavier joined. They were 3 times champs in row a few years ago. Then, din join d until this year. Thought they will be damn ganas like they were in the past but they were ok ok la i guess cuz they didnt win it but still managed to break.
Oh ya, the princesses (Sri Puteri) were not princesses after all. In debate, words like "jackass" and some other words came out from these princesses. That was unexpected but this year, there were less "SIT!" from them, lol. Then, after double octos, we told Mr.Koay, "sir, you can tell Miss Yoong that we beat the national champions twice d in 2 days" after defeating DJ. Last but not least, those who committed sins in this championship shall be cursed to face judgment in hell, the inelegant and detestably unjustified way of ending ppl's hopes and dreams are just too unforgivable. May the Star coach be carried by a coach to the star and get burned peacefully. The flames that engulfed him on that very day is called the flame of justice.
k, lazy wanna blog d. any grammar mistakes or repetition of story, pls endure it cuz i didnt double check or anything.
