Kem Pentarafan 2009

here I am speaking as a participant of this camp, basically for those who know nothing about this camp, it is the final camp or you could say the final step to be a King Scout in Malaysia. It was held in Kem Kota, Layang Kiri-Kiri, Parit where it's normally used for years now including for KKP camps. So, let's make a brief 1. On the 1st day, we started it off by going to school, gather there by 7.15pm, then we did our final touching upon our log books and waiting patiently for the other 9 participants from KE and Hua Lian. After waiting for more than half an hour, we got pissed off of them being so slow and wanted to go off without them already. haha, and finally they came... after 40+ minutes, cool huh? even waiting for 20 minutes already made me piss off, what's worse when it surpasses 40 minutes... anyway, it's not a problem to us, so we went off to Kem Kota. On the journey there, we could see many flags.. UMNO, PAS, BN and so on... I was telling my friends that why don't we stop by and cut some of the flags since we need it for our registration, but it was just a joke, so we didnt stop there, haha. Upon reaching there, we loaded down the bamboos and stuffs, it was drizzling, so we just covered our stuffs and went for registration. The registration was long and slow, we wasted about 1 hour sitting there and register. After registering, we went to our campsite and started taking our stuffs to our campsite and *poof*, my pengorek lubang was out of sight. However, I kept my cool and continue taking my stuffs to the campsite and search for it from time to time, ended up not finding it even after the camp was over, sad. Next, we were given a short talk about the camp and went back to our campsite and we started building up gadgets as usual. This time was rather different for me as I've to build a gateway which has gate, haha, normally I'll just build a gateway with the shape of a goal post, lol. So, an idea struck me and I just used it and it ended up as a flunk. To avoid time wastage, I continued with other gadgets and build, build, build. I was quite slow though, dunno why. I strongly believe that I could have finish up 15 gadgets in 1 night but ended up finishing 9 in that night, goodness. Probably due to the super duper hot sun which made me super dark today. Then, at 9 something that night, we were called up for a test and what was it? shit... i forgot... anyway, I passed it. Cheap and easy, haha.

Then, the following day, we got prepared for morning inspection and I didnt get any sleep at all for that day hurrying to finish my campsite up. My campsite's comment was little.. "bersihkan rumput". Then, we get to the hall for istiadat pagi and it was weird that the Negaraku wasn't sang at the correct tempo, should be because Tn.Aziz wasn't there. Then, we were given a little speech and started our day off with a PC test. fuh, this test was lame, man, mainly because they don't give a damn about it at all, i mean the tester all, was like joking and so on. 2 person in my group know nothing about it but passed while the tester gave some stupid questions while we were explaining. We explain quite clear, you know compared to the others, they dont give any DRABC for the CPR but we did, every step. Yet all passed because it was just like a learning process. Lame. Err... shit, I got mixed up with all the tests. So, I'll go damn brief about it. My handcraft sucks, lol, then, we had a knot test which I could say I did well in it, just hope that it doesnt end up wrong by the time it reaches the tester to mark... small strings cello-taped on a manila paper... then, another test was a theory test, it was quite simple, I bet I get at least 40 or more of it correct out of 50 when I didnt study a thing about it at all. Smart shooting and common sense. Then, was rambu. I finished it up in 20+ minutes, it went quite smooth because I didn't trained it for weeks yet able to finish it up in 20+ minutes, it was average la somehow. Then, there's a test call temu duga. It was simple because what I needed to do was just singing Lagu Negeri Perak, Persetiaan Pengakap and telling fully all the 10 scout laws, it was perfect. Haha, then it was funny when I saw a few guys suffering from the test. Some were too pressured and forgot the national anthem.. national anthem man, lol. Then, there was another test, which is stick marching (kawad tongkat). I fared quite well in just that probably lose a little bit of marks in command. Then, in the afternoon of the 3rd day,we had a fried rice test. We cooked it and pass it up to the tester. We went too early which is 12.30 when we're supposed to hand it up at 1.30, lol, so lepak at the canteen there for 30 minutes plus, testing each other's fried rice and so on, we had our time there since we've finished up all our gadgets. After passing it up, we ate it up and went back to the campsite suffer under the bloody hot sun that's killing me up. In the afternoon, we prepared for our sambat test which I believe I did perfectly in it, no mistakes plus the first few who passed it up. Around the top 10 to pass it up. In the night, we did our dancing test. We did Inang for it but our dance was screwed at the last part because the player is a noob player. It lost 1 round of the song and our ending was slightly off but we got a hand of applause though and Tn. Aziz said "jangan lah tension", it was like lol,a nd everyone thought he's referring to Timothy which until now, we're not sure but his tension made all the tester laughed at him, lol. The dancing was boring but some was funny in a sense they did stupid stuffs in the dance. So, that's all la. The camp leader was funny too making loads of jokes. Talking about us Power Ranger, he's a Transformer and so on, haha. Also said about throwing us into the river standing on a rakit if we ever break the camp rules. He says he's kejam but I feel he's a joker. So..it was a tiring, fun+boring camp, quite cool too, hopefully many people will fail the test because I feel some of them were not fit to be a King Scout. That's all. It'll be fun showing off to our friends every Wednesday in school wearing the bushman tong, hahaha
