Making A Mountain Out of A Molehill

Another controversy happening in Malaysia over Chin Peng, a communist as written in our current History textbooks although there are ppl claiming that Malaysia wouldn't exist without him driving off British and Japanese from Malaysia (a Malaysian hero by the claims while the textbook state the opposite). Basically, I have no interest in this "history" but my opinion on this controversy is that you allow his remains back to Malaysia. The reason is very simple. Communist or not, whether he's once a threat to Malaysia or not, remains are remains. I really don't see the rationality behind the disallowing of it back to Malaysia. Do you really think that ashes from a dead man is able to revive the spirit of communism in Malaysia? Or this remains is able to create a commotion that will endanger the safety of Malaysian citizens or the sovereignty of our beloved country?

Firstly, I question the teachings of the religion that you embraced so tightly as well. Do they not teach you forgiving? More than half a century, with such peace that we have attained, even Chin Peng would've given up in changing this "democratic" country to a communist country. The current battlefield is so different that even he himself would've realized that he's no longer a relevant fighter anymore. What he wanted was just to be back to his homeland and spending his remaining time with his family but it wasn't a wish come true. Now, even when he's dead, our big shots are still denying the ashes entry to our country. Regardless of your allowing of its entry or not, there'll still be commotion occurring but I question your humanity on this issue. Just allow it, why make it so hard for his family? And this will lead us to why our political figures are making such statement? The reason is also another simple 1. To please the citizens as in those who have hatred against Chin Peng because it's the least risky option as a politician as this is what politicians do these days. Any method is fine, you just need to please the majority of the citizens. While it's true that certain parties might be displeased if the entry is allowed, I believe it can be resolved. After all, my generation is the 3rd generation. In fact, I'm studying in Japan despite the fact that Japanese once attacked my country and was an evil badass towards my grandparents' generation yet I see values here that are worth embracing because they are no longer the badass that we once knew (or we once heard). Let bygones be bygones, there's nothing worth quarreling over such issue and while it's always better that we know history, we shouldn't plant this seed of hatred in the innocent hearts of our future generation. Just provide the facts from a neutral point of view and let them have an opinion for themselves. For the old timers, it's long time you bury this away. As a human, would you be happy if you are denied of having your family members' remains by your side? Weigh these 2 and I believe you can find the answer easily. In fact, too easy.
