A Puppy's Pitiful Life

It was taken in by a student's mother during SPM. It was young and a cheerful 1. It was given freedom, un-caged, free to roam around. A few weeks later, it was limping because the student's mother was reversing her van when she was going out. So, 1 of the dog's leg was crushed but still hopeful. A few days later, his (the puppy) leg was touching the ground, showing signs of recovery. Today, it went out and probably got knocked by a car. It was suffering, shouting for help from time to time. Everyone was out except for that student, studying for his SPM. He didn't realise about it as he thought the puppy was just being bullied by the neighbours cuz sometimes his neighbours will play with it. At 1 point, he got pissed off with it's barking and went out, wanting to silence it. The moment he went out, he saw the puppy, immobile. He panicked and was thinking what the hell happened. He touched it and it was barking again, in pain. It was dirty. He brought it back into the house and spray it with water, the least pressure possible towards the puppy. At some part, even when the water pressure was low, it cried in pain. Then, he wiped it with a towel and he saw 2 injuries. He applied first aid on it, antiseptic, iodine and bandaged it after that to prevent bacterial infection. Even after that, it was still crying. So, he thought it needed something. He provided him with water and tried feeding it but it's mouth was shut tightly. Then, he knew the puppy sustained internal injury.

He wanted to help out more but he couldn't. He has done all he could think of yet it was still crying in pain. It was night time, the vet was definitely closed that time and it was Saturday, which was the worst case scenario. Normally, vets dun open on Sunday. Then, he went out to visit a campsite, an appointment made earlier with his friends and came back after that. His father came back at the same time. He explained what he knew to his father. Instead of ignoring it or trying to give compassion, he was kicked softly which he believe is hard for it, not once but twice. The boy's heart was raging, wondering why he just can't leave it alone. He finally did it and went into the house. The boy followed as he wanted to lay his stuffs on his table 1st and can only look at the dog afterward. His mother came home after that, he explained again and his mother agreed, there's nothing they can do, since they dun have contact with any veterinarian. His father thinks that they should let it die rather than suffering like that. Even so, the boy has a different opinion. it is their full responsibility that this puppy came to the state it is now. He meant how would that puppy even know vehicles can move so fast? Or it is about to move? It's like children crossing road, they dun know the speed and they could be playing on the road, incautious of any danger surrounding them. So, the dog's stupidity couldn't be blamed since it's still a puppy. Even a human's child have the chance of suffering such consequences. Yet, the boy still wonders why did it deserve such fate as it is still suffering from the pain, crying out every second. He thinks that it would be dead if it closes it's eyes. Still, he thinks if the puppy ever survives this, he would help it to grow. He couldn't train it since it was his exam season. He wanted to train it after his SPM but that desire has the possibility of being unlikely.

MU scored 4 goals currently against West Ham, it would have been more rejoiceful for that boy if only the dog was fine. Pitiful, yet pathetic. It was the 1st time in that boy's life that he sees a pet being indirectly "tortured", yet it is a pet. Never has he seen a pet receiving such fate when he was able to bring up 3 dogs so finely in the past. He realised what was the problem, puppies should be caged up until they become dogs as what he did to his previous dogs. Before that, they shouldn't be roaming free as the chances of such case is higher. That was probably the moral of this puppy's fate. Probably it should just be given a dose of eternal sleep which is better than how it is suffering now if it's bound to see the angel of death.
